Jakarta Opens Semanan Portable Water Plant to Enhance Clean Water Access

Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno inaugurated the Semanan Portable Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

This move is part of an effort to accelerate 100 percent piped drinking water coverage, targeted for completion by 2029.

Rano stated that the Portable WTP is a quick solution to meet clean water needs in the western region of Jakarta, which has previously been difficult to reach via the main distribution network.
