Pramono Orders Immediate Normalization of Cakung Lama River

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inspected flood-hit areas along the Cakung Lama River on Friday, specifically visiting the Begog River segment in Semper Timur, North Jakarta.

Following the inspection, the Governor revealed that the primary cause of flooding in North Jakarta, particularly in Kelapa Gading, Sukapura, Cilincing, and Pegangsaan Dua—is the narrowing of the river flow, or bottlenecks, within the Cakung Lama River system.
