As many as 13 breakwater embankments have been built in Seribu Islands. They are spread in 11 residential islands.

"There have been 13 breakwaters built this year," said Head of Seribu Islands Water Management Sub-Department, Riscal A Pasombo, Wednesday (10/28).
According to Pasombo, the embankment is for anticipating island abrasion naturally. "This embankment could lessen big wave and prevent abrasion," he explained.
Besides that, the sub-department side also created channel for Water Waste Processing Installation (IPAL) in Pramuka Island. "There is only one IPAL built. The other ones are failed on auction," he uttered.
Meanwhile, he claimed the budget for the sub-department this year is amounting to Rp 7 billion. And no budget for maintaining the broken Reverse Osmosis in some islands.
