Along August-September 2015, Cilincing Regional Tax Service (UPPD), North Jakarta had controlled 117 cigarette billboards spread in 7 urban villages.

Muhammad Juhfa, Administration Head for Cilincing UPPD stated that the controlling was done in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation No.1/2015 on Cigarette and Tobacco Outdoor Ads Providence Ban stops the cigarette ads circulation.

“The tax license is already expired,” he said, Tuesday (10/20).

Hundreds billboards have many variety size, ranging from 8 meters to 24 meters.

“It is possible to control bigger size billboard but it needs a coordination to UPPD at city level,” he expressed.

Juhfa added there is no more cigarette billboard license issued. “The rule has already set it,” he finished.
