The personnel of Seribu Island Water Resources Sub-agency completed the water channel improvement at RT 07/02, Panggang Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara District.

Head of Seribu Island Water Resource Sub-agency, Mustajab said the improvement was run to respond to local residents' requests.

"The 60 cm water channel was not functioning then it triggered the inundation during heavy rain," he said, Thursday (1/15).

He added that the work involved eight personnel since January 12, 2025 and was completed yesterday.

Mustajab hoped this newly improved water channel will flow the rainwater smoothly to prevent inundation.

"Our target is ensuring all water channels are functioning well for the sake of resident safety," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of RW 02, Panggang Island Urban Village, Abdul Ghoni appreciated the work in improving the water channel.

"Hopefully this kind of service could be continued in the future," he hoped.
