The East Jakarta Social Sub-agency provided assistance for fire survivors on Jalan Kayu Tinggi, RT 08/05 Cakung Timur, Cakung, Thursday (12/4). The fire burned nine rent houses on Wednesday (12/3) at 8:14 PM.
The evacuation tents are planned to be prepared for three days
Head of East Jakarta Social Sub-agency, Agata Bayu Putra said the assistance provided includes not only in-kind supplies and clothing, but also 180 boxes of ready-to-eat meals per day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. His rank has also set up refugee tents.
"The evacuation tents are planned to be prepared for three days. Meanwhile, ready-to-eat food is only available for today, as requested by the urban village office," he said.
The assistance provided included 11 boxes of instant noodles, five kilograms of rice, 11 two-liter bottles of cooking oil, 22 cans of sardines, 22 packs of biscuits, 11 boxes of mineral water, 11 bottles of soy sauce, and 11 goodie bags.
Then 12 pieces of soap, 12 bottles of shampoo, 43 toothbrushes, 12 toothpastes, 43 blankets, 25 t-shirts, 13 men's underwear, 11 goodie bags, 13 koko shirts, 12 women's underwear, 13 sarongs, 13 songkok, 25 training pants, 12 bras and 12 prayer robes.
Wasdi (41), one of the local residents, appreciated the assistance since it helps the fire survivors much.
"We express our gratitude for this assistance. It is certainly very helpful for our daily needs," he admitted.
