Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung is about to hold a digitalization competition and offer discounts at malls and hotels to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

This initiative aims to promote digitalization, control inflation through discount competition, and enliven the Christmas and New Year celebrations in Jakarta.

"How about we hold competitions for Christmas and New Year in malls? The first one is digitalization, the second is discount contests, and the atmosphere is of Christmas and New Year," he expressed, at Sari Pasific, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Thursday (12/4).

He believes that discount competitions at various shopping centers will attract the public at the end of this year, making the Christmas and New Year celebrations more festive.

Besides celebrating Christmas at shopping centers, he also asked the Christmas committee to hold Christmas Carol performances or Christmas singing on main streets.

"And if it can be done, I believe the mood will be peaceful. Whatever it is, whether Christmas or Idul Fitri, and we treat all religions equally and kindly. I believe this moment can run well," he stated.
