Water channel normalization on Jalan Taman Bendungan Jatiluhur, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, run by Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency since September 27, 2025, is targeted for completion in early January 2026.

Head of Tanah Abang District Water Resources Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said normalization is run because the 90 meter long channel was already closed.

"Eight personnel are deployed to work on it," she said, Wednesday (12/3).

She explained that the personnel must demolish the channel before installing the 40x40 cm u-ditch.

"We install a larger u-ditch to the channel," she added.

Asep (46), a local resident, appreciated the sub-agency for responding resident's request.

"The newly improved water channel should be able to hold the rainwater from inundating the area," he admitted.
