A total of 155 participants consisting of PKK cadres, Dasawisma cadres, RPTRA administrators, FKUB, FKDM, LMK, RT/RW administrators, and disability assistants took part in the 16-Day Campaign Against Violence Toward Women and Children (HAKTPA) held at Dirgantara Room, South Jakarta Mayor's Office.

South Jakarta Vice Mayor Ali Murtadho said the event is a strategic step toward strengthening a shared commitment to creating safe spaces for women and children.

"Violence against women and children cannot be taken lightly . In particular, the South Jakarta PPPA Unit has recorded 410 reported cases. I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg, as many victims are still afraid to come forward," he said on Wednesday (12/3).

Ali urged all participants present, including PKK cadres who are the government's frontline, to be brave in speaking out and to encourage others not to be afraid to report.

"Let's support and show concern for efforts to prevent violence against women and children. I believe South Jakarta, with its strong communities and diversity, can set an example in creating a friendlier, more inclusive city that protects all residents, particularly women and children," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Head, Iin Mutmainnah, explained that the campaign began on November 22, 2025, with the installation of stickers in strategic locations, including public transportation.

"These stickers are expected to spread information about preventing violence against women and children. This issue is no longer limited to a single sector but has become a multisectoral concern," she shared.

Iin elaborated that to address violence, various efforts, policies, and strategic programs have been implemented, such as establishing the Women and Children’s Friend Posts (Pos SAPA).

Moreover, pilot Women and Child-Friendly Urban Villages (KRPPA) have been set up, alongside KRPPA volunteers, the formation of Violence Prevention Task Forces in schools in collaboration with Education Sub-agencies, safe play spaces for children at RPTRA, socialization campaigns, and collaborations with various parties.

"Reports have increased by 10 percent compared to the previous year. We see this increase as evidence that people are becoming more courageous in speaking out. The community no longer sees this as a stigma, but as an issue that needs to be addressed," she emphasized.
