Our hope is locals can also maintain it without littering
"The proposed improvements include repairing the retaining wall and dredging the mud to prevent flooding," said Cilandak Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Yansori, Monday (12/1).
He explained repairs to the retaining wall with 100 centimeters high and 60 centimeters wide were conducted along 150 meters. Additionally, mud and trash were dredged with a thickness of about 40 centimeters.
"The work involved six personnel was programmed on October 2025," he explained.
By doing so, it was expected to smoothen the flow of the water in the channel in a bid to anticipate flooding when it rains.
"Our hope is locals can also maintain it without littering," he hoped.
This work received appreciation from one of the locals, Kurniawan.
"Looks neat and sturdy. We thank you for responding to our complaint regarding the environment in the channel," he stated.
