Four PPSU personnel are seen making mural paintings on several support pillars of the Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) Toll Underpass on Jalan Laksamana Malahayati, Duren Sawit Urban Village, Duren Sawit Sub-district, East Jakarta.

"This mural painting is made to eliminate the impression of clutter along the toll road support," said Duren Sawit Urban Village Head, Nur Rifiandini, Tuesday (11/11).

She explained, the work has been ongoing for three weeks. In total, there are 56 pillars and 10 others have already been decorated with murals. It is targeted to be completed by next December.

She hoped that the private sector could contribute through a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to support finance the creation of the mural.

"The murals adorning the pillars predominantly feature abstract motifs. Additionally, there are images of Ondel-ondel, Betawi traditional houses, and other cultural elements," she closed.
