Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung fully supports the central government's plan to review restrictions on battle-genre online games.
We will fully support the government's policies
This support follows the explosion incident that occurred at SMAN 72 Jakarta last Friday (11/7). The restriction policy is important to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
"We will fully support the government's policies to prevent the issues that occurred at SMAN 72 from happening again," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Monday (11/10).
He previously revealed that he had seen the scene of the incident firsthand and visited the victims who were being treated in the hospital.
"The main point is that the same incident should not happen again, thus the policies of the central government and the Jakarta government will give full support," he asserted.
Regarding the teaching and learning activities at SMAN 72 after the incident, the Governor stated that the learning process is conducted online.
"The agency head has given me a report; indeed, today we are allowed to work remotely," he added.
He also highlighted bullying behavior that could trigger acts of violence in the school environment from happening again. However, he fully entrusted the police to thoroughly investigate the motives of the attacker.
He urged the community to wait for the official results of the investigation conducted by the police.
"So, the most important thing is that acts of bullying or harassment should not happen again because it can become a motivation or trigger," he stated.
