Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung instructed PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) to repair and improve the Transjakarta bus payment system.

The payment system is currently being fixed

Pramono responded to complaints about frequent breakdowns of the tap-in and tap-out payment machines on public transportation services, especially Transjakarta. This condition allows Transjakarta users' balances to be deducted twice.

"I also complain about the same thing. The tapping often does not work properly, and I have coordinated with Transjakarta to fix it, including MRT," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (10/31).

He emphasized the importance of improving the quality of transportation services, thus the payment system can function optimally, like in other major cities around the world.

"The payment system is currently being fixed. Hope we can catch up with other countries that can already tap quickly," he explained.

He also highlighted the potential misuse of Microtrans services by drivers and asked Microtrans drivers to work professionally in the field.

"Indeed, we also don't want this Mikrotrans to seem like it now belongs to us personally. On the field, it's like that. Driving with their family, their children beside them. It shouldn't happen; we must remain professional in our work," he stated.
