The East Jakarta Pulo Gadung Sub-district Sport Hall (GOR) is ready to be the main venue of badminton at at National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) XVII and National Student Paralympic Week (PEPARPENAS) XI 2025.

Pulo Gadung Sub-district GOR Facility Head, Syifa Kurniawan explained, the provision of various facilities has been done to ensure the comfort of athletes and visitors.

"Let's fix what really needs to be fixed for everyone's comfort," she expressed, Wednesday (10/29).

She explained, some of the revitalized facilities include accessible toilets for people with disabilities, replacement of tiles, installation of street lighting, tree pruning, and renovation of the auditorium.

"The courtyard area will also be repaved to improve access comfort. This is done to enhance service quality and maintain Jakarta's reputation as the host," she explained.

This sports hall has four badminton courts with a spectator capacity of around 200-300 people. The courts are located on the second floor, while the ground floor is used as an auditorium.

"The more comfortable auditorium will be used for transit or rest for the athletes," she added.

Then the revitalization work began at the beginning of October and is targeted to be completed by the end of this month. Thus far, the progress has reached 90 percent.

"It has entered the finishing or final stage. Hopefully, the badminton sport event at this venue will proceed smoothly without significant obstacles," she stated.
