Head of Jakarta BBPOM, Sofiyani Chandrawati Anwar said that this
education is a form of support from the Indonesian government for the implementation of the Free Nutritious Food (MBG) program."We provide training on the importance of implementing food safety and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) in every stage of food processing and serving," she said, Monday (10/20).
Sofi hopes this training increases the capacity of food handlers in implementing food hygiene and sanitation principles to ensure the provision of safe and nutritious food for program beneficiaries.
"We hope that all SPPGs can process food safely without contamination from contaminants that have a negative impact on health," she hoped.
Meanwhile, BGN Coordinator for East Jakarta, Yaser Rabin Sinuan stated that food security aspects are a crucial factor in supporting the MBG program success.
"They will be able to apply correct practices in food processing to protect the public from the risk of foodborne illness," he stated.
