Some 153 rabies-transmitting animals in Mampang Prapatan Urban Village, South Jakarta, have been vaccinated against rabies for free.
Hopefully, we can maintain Jakarta's rabies-free status
Mampang Sub-district KPKP Executing Unit Head, Ernawati said, rabies vaccination in Mampang Prapatan Urban Village was held over four days, from October 6 to 9, 2025.
"This vaccination targets pets such as cats, dogs, monkeys, and civets. It is conducted on animals that meet the specified requirements," she expressed, Friday (10/10).
She detailed, vaccination was held on Monday (10/6) at Mampang Prapatan Urban Village Office, successfully reaching 74 cats and one civet. Then, on Tuesday (10/7), 32 cats and two civets were vaccinated at Ramah Lingkungan RPTRA
Then, the vaccination on Wednesday (10/8) in RW 06 successfully reached 27 cats and two dogs. Meanwhile, the rabies vaccination on Thursday (10/9) in RW 04, Mampang Parapatan Urban Village, was successfully executed on 15 cats.
"Everything went smoothly, and residents were very enthusiastic about bringing their pets for vaccination. Hopefully, we can maintain Jakarta's rabies-free status," she hoped.
Thanks came from one of the pet owners, Ranisa.
"If vaccination at the animal clinic is quite expensive. I'm glad there's free vaccination nearby, I brought two cats," she said.
