South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, reviewed a 2.9-hectare land on Jalan Rengas, RT 05/011, Bintaro Urban Village, Pesanggrahan Sub-district, which is being optimized for public service facilities and flood control.
People can feel its positive impact soon
According to him, land review that is an asset of the Jakarta government to ensure that its future use benefits the community.
"If referring to the evidence of ownership, land clearance has been carried out since 2006, but it has not been used properly until now," he expressed, Tuesday (10/7).
He explained, this land is planned to be used for the construction of healthcare facilities and a retention basin as flood control facilities.
Then a pond with a depth of five meters will be built, starting today, by dredging from two surrounding areas, namely Rengas River and Uangan River. Additionally, a jogging track and other supporting facilities will also be added later.
"We make a crossing channel from that point so that the water can be controlled by this reservoir. As a result, the water does not flow directly toward Jalan Swadharma and cause flooding on the access road.
He added, with good collaboration among all regional device organizations (OPD) in the development of all facilities here, it is targeted that the entire work will be completed within approximately three months.
"Hopefully, it will be completed on time, thus people can feel its positive impact soon," he hoped.
