Some 88 rabies-transmitting animals in Pejaten Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-district, South Jakarta, received free rabies vaccinations at Kemuning RPTRA.

Very helpful because it's free

Pasar Minggu Sub-district Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Unit Head, Ida Masniwati Imanik said, vaccination aimed to improve the quality of animal health and keep Jakarta rabies-free.

"We also did the same thing door to door in other residential areas," she expressed, Tuesday (10/7).

She explained, the door-to-door method was set to facilitate the pet owners to continue receiving free rabies vaccination services.

"This effort also impacts the increase in rabies vaccination target achievement in South Jakarta," she explained.

Of 88 pets vaccinated, 85 were cats, and one was dog, one was monkey, and one was civet.

"To maintain the health of animals and their owners, I invite pet owners in Pejaten Timur and surrounding areas to bring their pets to the rabies vaccination site until October 8, 2025. The schedule and location can be seen at the Pasar Minggu KPKP Instagram account," she added.

This service received appreciation from one of the pet owners, Anis.

"Very helpful because it's free, can reduce pet care costs," she said.
