"This bazaar is part of the socialization of the importance of water," he expressed.
He continued, there are 2,000 PAM Jaya customers accessing clean water through pipelining. This pipelined clean water service greatly helps the residents' economy, as they no longer have to buy water carried in buckets, which is more expensive.
The Jakarta government has also targeted PAM Jaya to implement pipeline projects in various other areas. By 2029, it is targeted that all areas in Jakarta will be well served by PAM Jaya.
On that occasion, he also socialized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and caring for septic tanks in residents' homes. Based on the visit to PAL Jaya, he obtained new information that about 70 percent of wastewater in Jakarta is treated.
Septic tank maintenance through pumping should theoretically be done at least once every 3 years. The pumping should also not be completely emptied, leaving a small amount inside.
If pumping is not performed, Rano received information about an incident in the Pamulang area where an explosion occurred triggered by a full septic tank. Therefore, he reminded that the cost of pumping would be cheaper than dealing with a disaster.
"So, it is very important for us to carry out socialization because this also impacts public health," he emphasized.

President Director, Arief Nasrudin explained that previously, the area had already been serviced with piped water, but there were issues with water flow. Regarding this, the team has made improvements, and currently, the water pressure has been increased to two bars.Further, in the future, they will build a new network for 1,000 customers in the area. It is targeted to be completed by the end of January 2026.
"The coverage of clean water services in Jakarta is now 75 percent. Therefore, this activity is part of the socialization we are currently conducting," he stated.
