Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung distributed aid under the second batch of Diploma Amnesty Program Phase IV 2025 at SMP Strada Santo Fransiskus Xaverius 1, Koja, North Jakarta, on Friday (10/3).

This program is one of Jakarta Government's top prioritites to ensure that no child is deprived of their right to education due to financial constraints.
In this batch, the aid was distributed to 1,238 beneficiaries with a total value of Rp4.13 billion.
"Today, I'm trully grateful and happy to
hand over diploma amnesty aid for 1,238 students, which amounts to over Rp4.1 billion," said Pramono.To date, the Jakarta Provincial Government, in collaboration with Baznas Bazis Jakarta, has distributed aid to a total of 3,297 students, with a total value of approximately Rp12 billion. Pramono hopes the beneficiaries will use their diplomas to either secure permanent employment or pursue further education.
"I hope this diploma amnesty aid will benefit you and your families not just today, but also in the future," he expressed.
To support education for children in Jakarta, city government has also distributed Jakarta Smart Cards (KJP) to 707,513 students and Jakarta Excellent Student Cards (KJMU) to 16,979 university students. Pramono has even instructed to expand KJMU eligibility to postgraduate levels (Master's and Doctoral degrees).
"To break the cycle of disadvantage in a family, at least one child must be able to access the highest possible of education," he asserted.
On this occassion, he appreciated Jakarta Baznas Bazis and his subordinates for making this diploma amnesty program a reality. The government is targeting to assist 6,652 students this year through this program.
Jakarta Education Agency Head Nahdiana added that the second batch of Diploma Amnesty Program Phase IV covers 1,238 students, totalling Rp4,130,546,250 in assistance, including 45 elementary school students; 266 junior high students; 147 senior high students, 759 vocational school students, and 21 students from community learning centers (PKBM).
From the first to the fourth batch, Jakarta Provincial Government and Jakarta Baznas Bazis have provided diploma assistance to 3,297 students, totaling around Rp12.08 billion.
Nahdiana stated that the program has significantly benefited students, including Sony Pery Sahat Silitonga and Nadia Syah, whose diplomas were previously withheld due to financial difficulties.
Sony, a 2019 graduate of SMK Walang Jaya, had been working as a daily freelance worker and has now secured employment at PT Gemilang Nusantara. Meanwhile, Nadia Syah, a graduate of SMK PGRI 3 Jakarta, who was also working on a daily freelance basis, is now employed as an administrative staff member at PT My Republic.
"The outcomes show that this program significantly broadens employment prospects and gives students a clearer path toward a better future," Nahdiana shared.
One of the beneficiaries, Nasa Nur Rapida (22), a 2021 graduate of SMK Kencana Jakarta Utara, expressed her gratitude to the city government for helping her reclaim her diploma.
"I'm truly grateful to the Jakarta Government and Education Agency for helping me reclaim my diploma from SMK Kencana," she said.
With her diploma in hand, Nasa hopes to apply for better job opportunities, possibly even aat a state-owned enterprise (BUMN). She revealed that due to financial struggles, she had been unable to obtain her diploma.
"My challenge was getting my diploma because I'm the eldest of five children, and my younger siblings are stil very young. So, I've become the breadwinner for my family," she shared.
