The Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) continues to provide Psychosocial Support Services (LDP) for fire survivors in Tangki Urban Village, Taman Sari Sub-district, West Jakarta.

Children were very happy

Jakarta BPBD' Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Division, Budi Hartati, said that the LDP has been provided since October 1, 2024, at Al-Muhajirin Mosque RT 10/07.

"Our two-day LDP focus is on the children's cluster. For other clusters, of course, we also provide support, but alternately with other elements," he expressed, Friday (10/3).

He explained, about 35-40 child survivors of the fire participate in the LDP activities, which include drawing, coloring, singing, storytelling, prize quizzes, and distributing toys. This program aims to reduce trauma caused by the fire that destroyed their homes and belongings.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the children were very happy for two days. Today, we will also conduct relaxation therapy or massage sessions and counseling for the adult and elderly groups," he explained.

This action received appreciation from one of the residents from RT 04/06, Suharti.

"Thank God, my child was happy to receive a gift from the BPBD team as well. During the fire incident, I only brought documents and clothes that were attached to my body, he stated.
