Joint personnel of Satpol PP, Fire Handling and Rescue and Environment Taskforce of Tanah Abang together with 100 members of Pemuda Pancasila, cleaned the West Flood Canal, Tuesday (9/30).

Head of Tanah Abang District, Suprayogi said his side also deployed four rubber boats in order to support the work.

He added that environment cleanliness socialization was already provided massively to residents of Kampung Bali, Kebon Melati, and Kebon Kacang Urban Villages along the canal.

"We appeal local residents not to litter carelessly," he said.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Pemuda Pancasila Head, Royan Chalifah admitted her side will conduct similar activity once in two months.

She added that this step is a form of support for the Jakarta Provincial Government in maintaining environmental cleanliness, while minimizing the occurrence of flooding.

"Today's activity was held in three spots along the Ciliwung riverbank," she stated.
