A total of 10 Water Resources (SDA) Task Force personnel from Cakung Sub-district, East Jakarta, were deployed to revitalize a 15-meter-long water channel in residential area of RT 08/12, Jatinegara Urban Village.
"...is targeted to be completed today,"
Cakung Sub-district SDA Task Force Head, Dian Nur Cahyono, said the drainage revitalization is a follow up to residents' proposal through Musrenbang.
"The channel's existing condition is inadequate, with many parts collapsed. Thus, residents are concerned about flooding during the rainy season," he affirmed on Wednesday (9/24).
In this work, his team used U-ditch units measuring 40x40x120 centimeters to revitalize the channel. To accelerate the work, a crane was also deployed to transport the U-ditch units.
"The work started on September 22, 2025, and
is targeted to be completed today," he added. On the other hand, RW 12 Head, Irianto Garah, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Cakung Sub-district SDA Task Force for responding to the residents' proposal.
"Hopefully this channel will function optimally to prevent flooding," he said.
