Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin requested the volunteers of Junior Red Cross (PMR) to actively participate in maintaining infrastructure and public facilities built by Jakarta Provincial Government.

"I hope volunteers will help spread kindness, inviting residents to protect the city of Jakarta," he said, Wednesday (9/17).

Arifin also asked Central Jakarta PMI and PMR volunteers to be ready to carry out disaster mitigation and provide services to disaster-affected residents, as well as provide humanitarian assistance related to meeting blood needs.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta PMI Head, Asep Djuanda explained his side will conduct sign language training for volunteers to help residents with special needs.

"We will also hold a convoy on a number of roads to campaign to protect Jakarta," he stated.
