According to her, this activity is very important not only to prevent stunting because the nutritional of fish also supports the growth and development of children into a golden generation.
"I'm so happy to see the children's enthusiasm for eating fish. Fish is a high source of protein and contains omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for children's intelligence and health," she said, Tuesday (9/16).
She emphasized that parents and teachers play a vital role in educating children to enjoy fish consumption from an early age. Through creativity and perseverance, this education can be delivered through various media, such as storytelling, singing, and other activities.
"North Jakarta is a coastal area, so it is very easy to get fresh fish," she added.
North Jakarta Assistant of Economy and Development, Wawan Budi Rohman, explained this is an annual routine program and is an effort to increase fish consumption among children from an early age.
"We hope this activity will expand further, as an effort to get children used to consuming processed fish. This will enable them to grow into a superior future generation," he explained.
Sub-a gency's Head Section of Maritime and Fishery, Riyadi Akbar stated today's activity was attended by 150 students. The activity provided material on the importance of eating fish and processed fish foods, and ended with a group meal and the provision of processed fish.
"We served processed fish in the form of fish nuggets. They were also given parcels containing fish balls, fish sausages, and pressure-cooked milkfish for their parents to prepare at home," he stated.
