As many as four shady Angsana trees on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, Rawa Bunga Urban Village, Jatinegara District were pruned to prevent fallen tree incident.

Jatinegara District Head Unit of City Park and Forestry, Asep Budi said eight Green Taskforce personnel were deployed to prune the trees.

"Hopefully the pruning will prevent fallen tree incident and give comfort for road users," he said, Wednesday (9/10).

Asep explained that tree pruning continues to be carried out based on monitoring results and reports from residents.

"Some trees also blocked the street lighting and traffic sign," he added.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Rifai (47) appreciated the Jatinegara District City Park and Forestry Unit for responding the resident aspiration.

"The trees were close to resident houses. Fallen tree incident is dangerous for them," he admitted.
