Build sustainable business relationships with industries in India
This participation is a real effort to strengthen Jakarta's position on the global tourism map and to capitalize on the large potential of the Indian market as one of the biggest sources of international tourists.
India is one of the fastest-growing international tourist markets in the world. In 2024, India recorded the highest number of international travels, driven by the growth of the middle class and increasing global connectivity.
This potential is expected to continue growing, with projections reaching 29 million international trips in 2025 and an outbound market value of up to USD 62 billion in 2026.
For Indonesia, the Indian market is increasingly showing an important role. India ranks 6th in the list of the most foreign tourists to Indonesia throughout 2024, with a total of 710,688 visitors. Seeing this trend, Indonesia aims for 800,000 Indian tourist visits in 2025.
Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata said, India has a very large and strategic market potential for Jakarta.

Marketing and Attractions Division Head, Sherly Yuliana, explained that visitors have the opportunity to taste fresh herbal medicine as part of a healthy lifestyle, while watching cultural performances and even participating in creative activities, such as coloring and designing batik.
