Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung personally checked the implementation of Car Free Day (CFD) along Jalan Sudirman - MH Thamrin, Sunday morning (8/31).

Despite not as crowded as usual, residents still enjoy the CFD activities while exercising.

He monitored the CFD in the last week of August to ensure the situation and checked the progress of repairs to the damaged facilities in Jakarta.

"This morning, I observed the Jakarta situation to check on the progress of repairing damaged facilities. The personnel have been working since the morning, including PPSU, Dishub, and others," he expressed.

He mentioned that the personnel were still seen at several points to clean up the remnants of the protest action.

"Earlier, I also saw staff from MRT Jakarta beginning to paint over the graffiti. The broken glass will be removed first to prevent any danger," he explained.

He explained that the CFD still took place as most Jakarta residents needed exercise on the weekend.

"There are also those who earn a living there, such as street vendors, photographers, and many others," he explained.

Therefore, Pramono instructed the staff to continue working to provide good public services, including repairing some damaged public facilities.

"We along with the residents will continue to protect and take care of this city as best as we can," he said.
