Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government is providing full assistance to the family of Affan Kurniawan (21), a victim of the recent demonstration incident. The support covers everything from hospital care to funeral arrangements.

"The Jakarta government is here to offer full assistance and support,"

“The Jakarta government is here to offer full assistance and support, starting from the hospital to the funeral house, and also the burial preparations we have made at Karet Bivak,” Pramono said at the Jakarta City Hall on Friday (8/29).

Earlier this morning, Pramono visited Affan's house and spoke with his family. Affan was the family's primary breadwinner, while his father also works as an online motorcycle taxi driver and has two other children.

To help ease the family's burden, the Jakarta Provincial Government is also providing financial aid and educational support to Affan's family.

“Of course, in addition to Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), we will provide other assistance to help this family,” he added.

Moreover, assistance has also been given to 38 injured victims who are being treated at several hospitals. Pramono emphasized that the Jakarta government will fully cover their medical expenses.

“For the roughly 38 individuals injured during the demonstration and currently receiving treatment at various hospitals, all medical expenses will be fully covered by the Jakarta Provincial Government,” he noted.

In this opportunity, Pramono urged all Jakarta residents to work together to maintain security and order.

“Let's work together to protect Jakarta because in situations like this, everyone must look out for one another. The safety and comfort of Jakarta is extremely important,” he emphasized.
