Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency provides clarification about information circulating on social media regarding claims that water pumps were turned off and that weather modification occurred during community activities on August 28, 2025.

Head of Jakarta SDA Agency, Ika Agustin Ningrum confirmed that all flood control pump stations in Jakarta were operating normally in accordance with SOP on that date.

"According to operational records, both stationary and mobile pumps in flood-prone areas remain active. Residents can also directly monitor the status of water pumps via the website pantaubanjir.jakarta.go.id.," she said, Friday (8/29).

Related to Weather Modification Operations (OMC) issue, Ika stated that her team was not conducting such activities. She emphasized that weather modification is the responsibility of the BMKG and related agencies.

"The last weather modification operations were held on August 17-21, 2025 by Jakarta BPBD cooperated with BMKG and Indonesian Air Force," she stated.

She urged the public not to easily believe unverified information. Residents are advised to access the official channels of the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Jakarta Water Resources Agency for official information.

Ika added that her team will continue to collaborate with all relevant agencies to ensure the flood control system runs optimally.

"Providing the best service for the safety and comfort of all Jakarta residents are our commitments," she stressed.
