Head of Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, conducted a strategic working visits to China on August 22-24, 2025.
Jakarta is ready to facilitate partnerships
The activity was held to expand business networks, encourage investment, and facilitate MSMEs to compete in the global market.
The event was started with a Leadership Address Session. Ratu delivered a speech and marketed products from Jakarta's MSMEs, including Rusunpreneur, to help them gain an international market.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with a number of Chinese companies and institutions, including Zhonggong Jibiao Yue Shang Trade Nanjing Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Jiebang Construction Co., Ltd., Zhongqiu United International Certification (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Siqian Business School, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, Tianshui First Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.
Ratu said that Jakarta Provincial Government appreciates this valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and China.
"As the economic capital of Indonesia, Jakarta is ready to facilitate partnerships and create sustainable growth with international partners," Ratu said, Wednesday (8/26).
Ratu also highlighted Jakarta's various economic achievements that make it an attractive investment hub. Jakarta's economic growth reached 5.01 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024, contributing 16.71 percent to the national economy.
Furthermore, cumulative investment realization in 2024 reached Rp 241.9 trillion, representing a significant growth of 45.1 percent compared to the previous year.
The visit then continued at the 2025 BRICS Economic and Trade Forum and Global Business Summit. At the forum, attended by international delegates, Ratu explained that Jakarta, as a city of collaboration and business in Southeast Asia, offers opportunities for investment and partnerships in various sectors.
"We also had the opportunity to meet with stakeholders to strengthen business networks, open up export opportunities, and encourage the digitalization of MSMEs," she added.
Ratu continued that the Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to opening up investment and partnership opportunities on the global stage.
"This discussion aims to ensure that the partnerships can be immediately followed up with concrete steps that are beneficial for business actors," she stated.
