The Jakarta government fully supports the Ministry of Health's program in improving healthcare services in remote areas, especially the Seribu Islands.

I immediately stated my agreement with all three

After meeting with Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his willingness to facilitate the operation of healthcare ships needed in Seribu Islands.

Among them are support for healthcare service vessel operations, provision of docking locations at Muara Angke Port, and more structured collaboration with the Jakarta Government.

"Thank you for today receiving the Minister of Health. Of those three matters, I immediately stated my agreement with all three," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (8/26).

Regarding the location of the health service boat docking at Muara Angke Port, Pramono stated that the government will provide special facilities.

"We'll also handle the infrastructure costs. And more importantly, the cooperation in the Seribu Islands itself," he explained.

He claimed to have instructed the Regional Cooperation Bureau, Regent of Seribu Islands, and Head of Dinkes to follow up on this matter. He stated, this health service would provide convenience for the people of the Seribu Islands in accessing healthcare services.

"What the Health Minister is doing by collaborating with the private sector is very good. And we thank you for that," he continued.

Health Minister, Budi Sadikin, explained that his office is collaborating with community organizations to provide healthcare services using ships. The healthcare services include surgeries on board boats for communities in remote areas.

This healthcare service boat initially operated in the Eastern Indonesia region. The Health Ministry itself provides various assistance such as fuel discounts, education and placement of specialist doctors, integration with BPJS Kesehatan, and medical equipment aid.

With this program, he hopes to reach residents in hard-to-access areas.

"Yesterday they came to me. They said they had already collaborated with Seribu Islands. They asked for help with docking fees, requesting a discount or free service," he explained.

Budi also requested that the cooperation with the Jakarta Government be made more official and that assistance be provided for boats to dock at the port.

"That's why, because they have those three requests and it's not my authority. I approached the Governor to ask for help," he closed.
