A fire burned down a house in a densely populated settlement, Gang Madrasah, RT 15/10, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas Sub-district.

East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Abdul Wahid said, the house fire incident believed to be owned by Suwandi (58) occurred at 10:25 AM.

"14 fire engines and 70 firefighters are immediately deployed to the scene," he expressed, Monday (8/25).

He explained the fire extinguishing began at 10:33 AM and the cooling process continued at 11:10 AM.

"The fire was extinguished at 11:21 AM due to an electrical short circuit. No casualties in the incident," he explained.

He added, a Homeowner, Suwandi sustained a head injury after being hit by building materials while attempting first aid.

The homeowner stated that when the fire initially occurred, he was outside the house buying breakfast for his sick wife.

"This fire initially came from the roof of the building, near the clothes drying area. I thank the firefighters who have handled it well," he closed.
