Jakarta Council's Legislative Body (Bapemperda) Chairman, Abdul Aziz targets that his team can complete the discussion of 13 bylaws next year.
Our target for next year is to increase by about 25 percent
For this year, they have already completed the discussion of 10 to 11 bylaws.
"Our target for next year is to increase by about 25 percent. So maybe 13 bylaws can be completed by then," he expressed, Wednesday (8/20).
Thus far, the Bapemperda had received 95 draft bylaw proposals during the Hearing Meeting (RDP) with various parties regarding the Bylaw Formation Program 2026 (Propemperda).
Those proposals will be followed up, and some of them will be combined if they discuss the same theme.
"Hopefully the number decreases. Don't aim for 95, because if our target is 10 each year, it would take 10 years to complete. So, the timeline would be very long. By combining some, perhaps three or four proposals can be merged into one, so the total number can be reduced," he explained.
He asserted, the Bapemperda will prioritize proposed draft bylaws that are complete administratively. He also reminds the proposers to promptly complete various documents, including the academic manuscript.
"If the proposer has completed the academic manuscript, is ready, and prepared for discussion, we will prioritize it; that is our priority," he stated.
