As many as seven personnel of Kramat Jati District's Blue Taskforce, East Jakarta construct new water channel at RT 01/04, Cililitan Urban Village.
targeted to complete in two weeks
Kramat Jati District's Water Resources Unit Head, Muchlis said the 40 meter-long water channel constructed was started on August 13, 2025.
"The work is run manually and is targeted to complete in two weeks," he said, Friday (8/15).
He explained that the channel is made with 40 cm of depth. Hopefully the channel will be able to eliminate inundation during heavy rain.
"I also ask the residents to help maintain the cleanliness of the drains, especially by not throwing rubbish carelessly," he added.
Meanwhile, one of local residents, Dody (45), admitted the channel construction was requested at Musrenbang.
"There was no water channel here, so we proposed it. Thanks to the Water Resources Unit for responding our request," he admitted.
