Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung conducted a three-day working visit from August 11 to 13, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to attend and also speak at a series of regional forums.
Governor is scheduled to be the keynote speaker
Jakarta Governor Special Staff for Public Communication, Cyril Raoul Hakim or Chico Hakim, stated that the Governor is scheduled to return to Jakarta on August 13.
"Official visit to Kuala Lumpur to attend and speak at ASEAN Sustainable Urbanization Forum (ASUF), Meeting of Governors and Mayors of ASEAN Capitals (MGMAC), and ASEAN Governors and Mayors Forum (AGMF)," he expressed, in his written statement, Monday (8/11).
ASUF, MGMAC, and AGMF 2025 are three regional forums that are part of the series of official activities during Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025.
This event is organized by the Ministry of Local Government Development Malaysia (KPKT) in collaboration with URBANICE Malaysia, United Cities and Local Governments Asia Pacific (UCLG ASPAC), UN-Habitat, and ASEAN Secretariat.
Carrying the theme 'ASEAN Future Cities and Regions: Inclusivity and Sustainability,' ASUF, MGMAC, and AGMF 2025 will be high-level meetings discussing the importance of inclusive, sustainable, and resilient urban development in facing future challenges.
"Governor is scheduled to be the keynote speaker and share views at the event, as well as hold bilateral meetings," he stated.
