Ciracas District's Water Resource Unit personnel run the water channel improvement on Jalan Dahlia, RT 08/05, Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village. Now the progress has reached 85 percent.

Ciracas District's Water Resource Unit Head, Yulia Indah said seven personnel are deployed to improve the channel along 22 meters.

"The channel improvement is run based on resident's request," he said, Monday (7/28).

According to him, the work is run manually since July 21 and is targeted to completed next month.

He hopes that with these improvements, the channel's function will be more optimal in preventing potential flooding because its capacity will also be increased.

Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village Secretary, Akhmad Bakri stated the existing condition of the water channel was only 20 centimeters wide with a lot of sedimentation.

"The area was often inundated when heavy rain falls. Hopefully the channel improvement will eliminate it fully," he stated.
