The Jakarta Social Agency emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy in developing convergent and complementary programs to accelerate poverty alleviation in Jakarta.

Jakarta Social Agency Head who also serves as Deputy Secretary of the Poverty Alleviation Coordination Team (TKPK) of Jakarta Province, Iqbal Akbarudin said poverty alleviation acceleration must be carried out in a comprehensive, integrated and data-based manner.

It was stated by him during the Assistant Regional Secretary Forum for Finalizing the Solution Tree and Priority Matrix of the 2025–2029 RPKD Program and the 2026 Annual Action Plan (RAT) for Poverty Alleviation.

"Various stakeholders' program needs to complement each other. It means poor people are not only lifted above the poverty line, but can also maintain and improve their welfare in a sustainable manner," said Iqbal, Thursday (7/17).

Previously, Jakarta Deputy Rano Karno appealed his ranks, from assistants to heads of agencies, to sharpen poverty alleviation programs.

Jakarta has set ambitious targets through Regional Regulation Number 8/2024 about the 2025-2045 Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). These targets include reducing the poverty rate to 0.00-0.05 percent and achieving a Gini ratio of 0.36-0.38 by 2045.

As for information, the Assistant Regional Secretary Forum is a forum held to finalize the solution tree and priority matrix of the 2025-2029 Regional Development Plan (RPKD) and the 2026 Annual Action Plan for Poverty Alleviation.

This forum is held from July 16-18, 2025. Session 1, on July 2025, will focus on the opening and finalization of strategic objectives and policies for accelerating poverty reduction for 2025 to 2029. Then next session on July 17-18 will discuss the finalization of programs and activities related to four strategic objectives.

The four strategic objectives are the realization of superior governance in poverty reduction efforts; the availability of decent and inclusive employment for the poor and vulnerable; the realization of inclusive and sustainable access to services for the poor and vulnerable; and the realization of active and adaptive access to social protection for the poor and vulnerable.
