Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, officially announced the change of the call name from Bank DKI to Bank Jakarta in conjunction with the City's 498th anniversary.

"...to becoming a financially strong bank, healthy in governance, and truly present in the community's life,"

The rebranding of the new name and logo was held at Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park, South Jakarta, Sunday (6/22). This call name change marks the beginning of a new phase of PT Bank DKI's transformation towards a more modern, professional, and competitive direction at the national and regional levels.

This also becomes part of the strategic steps in preparing the implementation of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 2/2024 on the Special Capital Region of Jakarta Province and the long-term roadmap towards an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Bank Jakarta President Director, H Agus Widodo said, this rebranding is not just a visual change, but reflects a comprehensive transformation taking place within Bank Jakarta, including strengthening governance, risk management, and a professional work culture; accelerating digital transformation and ecosystem-based service integration; modernizing IT infrastructure and enhancing cybersecurity; and strengthening intermediation functions, credit productivity, and the continuous acquisition of low-cost funds.

"We want Jakarta residents to feel that this change is not just cosmetic, but reflects a deep commitment to becoming a financially strong bank, healthy in governance, and truly present in the community's life," he explained, Monday (6/23).

He added, this launch was conducted symbolically at Blok M Literacy Park, a location chosen as it represents a vibrant, inclusive, and enlightening public space. This park embodies the essence of Bank Jakarta's new role: empowering, inspiring, and building trust from the roots of the community.

"This is also in line with Bank Jakarta's new tagline "Building the Future," a collective call to grow together, be highly competitive, and make sustainable contributions," he added.

PT Bank DKI Secretary, Arie Rinaldi explained, the use of the new call name and logo 'Bank Jakarta' would be implemented gradually, and during the transition period, it will still be used together with the previous identity.

"All legal relationships with customers and partners remain normal and unchanged," he added.

Bank DKI urges residents to be cautious of scams claiming to be from Bank DKI and to ensure that all official information is only obtained through the bank's official channels and the Call Center 1500-351.

Previously, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his hope that Bank Jakarta would become a professional bank and be ready to go public or conduct an IPO next year.

He and Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno, have very high hopes for Bank Jakarta to become a professional bank, a bank that is truly trusted by the public.

"The main task of Bank Jakarta directors and management is to prepare for the IPO next year. IPO will only be achievable if the bank is managed professionally.

He emphasized the importance of public oversight of the regional bank to ensure transparency and meet the IPO targets. Hopefully, Bank Jakarta would not only be a source of pride for Jakarta but also able to compete globally.

"Bank Jakarta must be able to do it as soon as possible. I believe Bank Jakarta can, the key is to remain professional and the people managing it. I want Bank Jakarta to become a professional bank that makes Jakarta residents proud and to move up a class," he added.

With this launch, PT Bank DKI reaffirms its commitment to move forward as Bank Jakarta, a financial institution that not only grows in business but also embraces a spirit of public service, digital relevance, and a sustainability-driven vision.

The launch event was also attended by representatives of the Jakarta Provincial Government, regulatory agency leaders such as OJK Chief Executive of Banking Supervision, Dian Ediana Rae, as well as leaders of BUMDs and strategic partners.
