The Jakarta Government declared a work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy for civil servants in Jakarta.
This is a necessity
This statement was stated by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in response to the latest regulations from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenpanRB).
He, who has personal experience in implementing a work-from-anywhere system while serving as the Minister of Cabinet Secretariat, sees its application as a necessity for Jakarta.
"There are 62 thousand civil servants in Jakarta. If it can indeed be implemented, it would be very easy because this is a necessity," he stated, at Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, Friday (6/20).
The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform had published regulations regarding this through KemenpanRB Regulation No. 4/2025 on the Flexible Implementation of Official Duties for Civil Servants in Government Institutions.
This regulation opens up opportunities for government agencies to adopt a more adaptive work model, allowing civil servants to work freely from anywhere as needed.
