Transjabodetabek Bus Stop Route PIK 2 to Blok M is officially opened and in operation
The opening of this new route is a strategic step by the local government to enhance connectivity between regions and address congestion in the capital and surrounding areas.
"Bismillahirrahmanirrahim (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), Thursday, May 22, 2025, the Transjabodetabek Bus Stop Route PIK 2 to Blok M is officially opened and in operation," Pramono expressed.
He believed this route would become the favorite public transport option for the community, considering the number of tourists visiting PIK reached 1.4 million people by April.
It has a distance of 72.8 km with 11 stopping points in Jakarta and 13 stops in Banten. The estimated travel time is between 165 and 180 minutes.
He explained, 20 bus units would be operated to serve this route. A feeder was also provided to help the community in the PIK area access the Transjabodetabek services.
He also revealed Jakarta's Government plan to open new routes connecting buffer areas in West Java, such as Depok - Cawang to Lebak Bulus and from Bekasi to Kuningan. This aimed to solve the traffic congestion issues in the buffer areas to Jakarta and vice versa.
As for the two Transjabodetabek routes that were previously inaugurated, namely Alam Sutera - Blok M and Vida Bekasi - Cawang, received a high level of enthusiasm from the public.
"Even on average during the weekends, it's already 4,500 per day. This shows that our decision was correct. Including yesterday, the average feeder from Bekasi to Cawang was 1,500," he explained.
He hoped that this could encourage private vehicle users to use public transportation. He emphasized that integrated transportation connectivity is the key factor that needs to be prepared.
Banten Deputy Governor, Dimyati Natakusumah appreciated the Jakarta Governor for the opening of the second route in Banten. She emphasized the importance of connectivity between Banten as a buffer region and Jakarta.
"Thank you, the highest appreciation to him, and hopefully there will be more, if possible until Serang," she exclaimed.
She added the Transjabodetabek route PIK 2 - Blok M is an effective and efficient public transportation option for the residents of Banten.
"Hopefully, the people of Banten can use this transportation and it can be beneficial and economical," she hoped.
The fare for the Transjabodetabek route from PIK 2 to Blok M is Rp 2,000 during peak hours in the morning (5 AM to 7 AM
) and Rp 3,500 during other operational hours (7 AM to 10 PM). Meanwhile, residents of Jakarta who fall into the 15 designated categories still receive free fares.
