Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission D Member, Ali Lubis, welcomed the Jakarta Government's policy to open city parks 24 hours a day. He believes this policy provides an affordable entertainment alternative for residents, especially at night.

However, Ali emphasized the importance of the city's preparedness in ensuring the safety of residents using the parks, especially during the night and early morning hours.
He encouraged cooperation with the police to carry out regular patrols around the parks that operate around the clock.
"Besides security, comfort must be also prioritized. Waste bins, CCTV, and cleaning staff need to be provided," he added.
Earlier, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially inaugurated the 24-hour operation of five city parks in Jakarta.
These five parks are Menteng Park and Lapangan Banteng Park in Central Jakarta; Langsat Park, Ayodya Park, and Martha Tiahahu Literacy Park in South Jakarta.
