Jakarta Council (DPRD) Chairperson, Khoirudin, welcomed the Jakarta Provincial Government's attention to the education sector. One concrete step taken by the government is initiating a program to help residents retrieve their withheld diplomas.

a special day for education as we commemorated National Education Day . What makes it more special in Jakarta is the good news from the education sector. Diplomas that have long been withheld at schools are now being released by the Jakarta Provincial Government through Baznas Bazis," he conveyed, on Friday (2/5).Khoirudin also appreciated city's policy for increasing the number of beneficiaries for Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU).
"This shows the extraordinary commitment of the Jakarta Provincial Government to education," he expressed.
He hopes that in the future, the city government can offer scholarships to outstanding students in Jakarta to pursue further education abroads. Khoirudin emphasized that DPRD would continue to support education funding.
"This shows that the DPRD fully supports the city government in advancing education. Our education is free," he mentioned.
Furthermore, he uttered that the Jakarta DPRD fully supports the diploma release program. He said that DPRD has approved the budget to help Jakartans retrieve their withheld diplomas for free.
"We indeed hold the authority to approve the budget. And the funds allocated for the diploma release program are part of what we have approved," he stated.
