Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno inaugurated the Smart Posyandu program during the 2025 Regional Health Work Meeting (Rakerkesda) at Balai Agung, Jakarta City Hall, which was also attended by Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

"Jakarta has designed a system for reporting at posyandu,"

Rano stated that Rakerkesda, which carries the theme 'Welcoming Five Centuries of Jakarta as Global Healthy City', discussed various strategic health issues, such as prevention and protection against infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis (TB), and ensuring food safety in public spaces.

"Earlier, the Minister was trully surprised that Jakarta has designed a system for reporting at posyandu," he mentioned, Wednesday (4/30).

This Rakerkesda, he added, also discussed efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality, improve nutrition, and enhance the quality of regional public hospitals (RSUD) by strengthening human resources in health sector.

"Today, I am proud and happy with the Jakarta Health Agency, which has developed, not a new system, but the existing facility but its utility has been enhanced," he conveyed.

Jakarta Health Agency Head, Ani Ruspitawati, explained that Smart Posyandu is a digitalization program for services at Posyandu, supported by an application called JakAntro.

Technically, she revealed that Smart Posyandu transforms the service pattern, which previously relied on manual weighing and recording of baby data, into a digital system.

The scales used are equipped with blutooth, allowing the recorded data to be digitally connected to the Ministry of Health's application.

"Smart Posyandu can reduce the risk of errors and delays in data," she added.

Ministry of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, appreciated the efforts made by the Jakarta Provincial Government. In addition to existing facilities and programs, he hopes that Jakarta can also enhance its promotional efforts by educating people about healthy lifestyles and preventative measures.

She noted that maintaining a healthy lifestyle involves balanced nutrition, enough rest, and regular exercie, alongside preventive measures include completing vaccinations and undergoing regular health screenings.

"Health checks are important to minimize and detect chronic diseases," she asserted.
