Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has urged residents living in coastal areas to be cautious of potential tidal flooding from April 4 to 19, 2025.

Jakarta BPBD Jakarta Head, Isnawa Adji, stated that according to the information from BMKG's Tanjung Priok Maritime Class I Meteorological Station regarding Tidal Flood Early Warning, high tides are expected due to the full moon phenomenon.
"This phenomenon has the potential to increase the maximum sea water level, resulting in tidal flooding in the northern coastal areas of Jakarta," he conveyed, Friday (4/11).
He advised residents in the northern coastal areas of Jakarta, such as Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing, Kalibaru, Muara Angke, Tanjung Priok, and Thousand Islands, to anticipate the potential impact of maximum sea water level that may lead to tidal flooding.
Isnawa added, residents can monitor updated information about sea waves on bpbd.jakarta.go.id/gelombanglaut.
