According to him, the concept of urban agriculture that utilizes limited land is necessary to maintain food security and improve family welfare.
"In this program, besides agriculture, we also continue to develop fisheries," he expressed when he led the Grand Harvest at Bhineka Garden, RT 14/RW 06 Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Wednesday (3/19).
He explained, today's harvest was held in 44 locations and involved PKK cadres, farmer groups, fish farming groups (Pokdakan), RPTRA caretakers, and urban farming activists.
"As a result, we haverted around 177 kilograms of vegetables, 12 kilograms of chili, 38 kilograms of fruits, and 181 kilograms of fishery products," he stated.
Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti added the existing urban farming groups would keep being developed and improved in terms of technology utilization and marketing.
They were also optimizing land for agricultural cultivation considering the limited land available.
