Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno proposes to construct Betawi souvenir center. One of the targeted locations is at Istana Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta.
We may invite Mandra to enliven the place
"I talked to Regional Secretary. Jakarta has no its souvenir center," Rano said, while opening the Creative Product Bazaar at MH Thamrin Hall, Grha Ali Sadikin, City Hall, Monday (2/24).
Rano added that the souvenir center will sell food, drinks and crafts that present Jakarta. Service for the residents can be also run through this plan.
"We'll seriously think about the design and how to branding. We may invite Mandra to enliven the place," Rano added.
Rano assessed that it is time for Jakarta Provincial Government to own its souvenir center like Yogyakarta and Bali.
Rano explained that his side also supports the MSMEs creative bazaar that is held routinely to promote Jakarta Provincial Government MSMEs to be more developed.
"I emphasize to hold training and provide capital for Jakarta Provincial Government MSMEs. We have two years before celebrating our 500th anniversary," he explained.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative and Small Medium Enterprise (PPKUKM) Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, said the Creative MSME Bazaar is held to increase product marketing and expanding the Jakpreneur entrepreneur network as well as encouraging the promotion and marketing of MSME products so that they can be recognized, marketed and generate turnover for business actors fostered by the Jakarta Provincial Government.
She added that the event is held for four days from February 24-27, 2025. It is participated by 27 participants in food category, two in beverage category, five in fashion category, and three in art category. The participants are Jakpreneur member and student of SMK fostered by Jakarta Education Agency.
"Hopefully the event can awaken, expand network, increase turnover and the spirit of Jakpreneurs and Jakarta residents in welcoming the five centuries of Jakarta," she hoped.
