The South Jakarta administration is about to rearrange the Pasar Minggu coached location (Lokbin), which has been increasingly empty of visitors in recent times.

We have asked for trash to be picked up every day for more presentable

South Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-agency (PPKUKM) Head, Parulian Tampubolon said his party had communicated with several related elements. Particularly, coordination regarding the waste problem was thought to be the trigger for the lack of visitors.

"We have asked for trash to be picked up every day for more presentable," he expressed, Tuesday (5/7).

According to him, this problem popped up because the location was close to a waste disposal point. As a result, buyers slowly began to decrease, followed by more traders going out of business.

He explained that based on the results of discussions with the related regional apparatus organizations (OPD), the Lokbin would be rearranged. One solution was to transport all the trashes that has piled up in front of the lokbin.

"In essence, around 42 traders need to renovate to use more productive premises," he expressed.

South Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Mohammad Amin admitted he was ready to deploy additional fleets to transport trash in the Pasar Minggu Lokbin area.

His party had also communicated with related elements to provide land around the Pasar Minggu area that could temporarily accommodate the trash.

"Yesterday, I proposed that and together we continue to look for solutions for the welfare of traders," he explained.

One of the traders at Pasar Minggu Lokbin, Nurin (61), admitted after it was inaugurated some time ago, this lokbin was devoid of visitors because it was disturbed by trash problems.

"Hopefully, we get to a better place than now, thus the economic cycle continues to run well here," he hoped.
