A fire burned a rent house on Jalan Tridharma Utama III, RT 04/012, Cilandak Barat Urban Village, Cilandak, South Jakarta. Allegedly, it was caused by short circuit electricity.

South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Huda, said the report was received at 1:25 AM.

"14 firetrucks with 50 personnel were directly sent to the location," he said, Thursday (4/18).

According to him, the fire was finally extinguished in one hour.

"The access road is narrow and far from water resource," he added.

The fire burned 9x10 square meter rent house. Thankfully there was no victims.

"Eight people have been evacuated," he continued.

Meanwhile, the rent house owner, Benny (42), admitted the fire came from the back of refrigerator . The fire then became bigger and burned other goods.

"We tried to extinguish the fire but failed. Thanks for the firefighter personnel for quickly responding," he admitted.
