East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency is about install guardrail beam fence at nine different locations. The fence has been installed at two locations.

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic Section Head, Benhard Tobing, said those two locations are Jalan Irigasi RW 02 Ujung Menteng, then Jalan RS Soekanto, in front of Darun Ni'mah Mosque, Malakasari, Duren Sawit, along 88 meters.

"We're about to install fence at nine locations," he said, Monday (4/1).

According to him, the installation is targeted to complete by the end of May.

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Traffic Section Staff, Dedi Suparman, explained the remaining seven locations are in front of Bakso Mie Ayam Barokah Gajah Mungkur up to Bakso Idola 88 along 36 meters, in front of Soto Ayam Lesehan up to Warung Kapau along 24 meters, from Warung Kapau up to Nasi Bebek Rica Rica along 36 meters.

Then in front of Warung Nasi Bebek Rica Rica up to Pondok Pecel Lele Lamongan along 32 meters and in front of Bubur Ayam up to Jembatan Metland along 32 meters.

Next are on Jalan Kayu Putih Pulomas, near Equinara Academy Pulomas gate along 88 meters. Then on Jalan Kayu Putih Raya intersection along 252 meters, on Jalan Balai Rakyat, Ujung Menteng, near Jalan Sangkuriang-Alfamidi along meters.

"The installation is based on residents' request during Musrenbang," he explained.

Meanwhile, RW 02 Head of Ujung Menteng, Muslihah, stated her side proposed fence installation since many children and motorcycle passing the area. So it is feared that they could fall into the irrigation river on the side of the road.

"The fence is needed much by residents here," she stated.
